Simple toiletries and basic necessities are on our wish list every month. These donated items go directly to the families receiving help from the transitional living center.
TLC helps homeless individuals and families put their lives back together.

The Transitional Living Center Saves Lives
Since 1993, the Transitional Living Center (TLC) has been dedicated to addressing the needs of the homeless in the Burlington Area. TLC’s primary focus is providing transitional living housing for women and children. TLC is able to house 15-20 adults and children in our Guest House and Morrow House duplex. During 2008, over half of our residents were children.
TLC has enabled many homeless individuals to put their lives back together and provide stable living arrangements for their families.
TLC’s first goal is to connect local homeless individuals and families with the appropriate emergency resources and social service agencies. If our organization is the best resource, we work to coordinate safe emergency shelter. Once emergency shelter is established, we again direct clients to appropriate services. Clients whose needs are best met within the TLC facilities are considered for our transitional living program based on availability and likelihood of success.
